Erkmen graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Sculpture Department and has exhibited her work in numerous local and international galleries, museums, and biennials over the past 30 years.

Brewing Method

While this product is a cup set, it is designed for serving traditional Turkish coffee. To brew Turkish coffee, combine one heaping teaspoon (~7 g) of Turkish-fine ground coffee per 70-80 ml of cold water in a cezve (Turkish coffee pot). Optionally, add sugar at this stage. Heat slowly over low heat, ensuring not to stir once heating begins. Remove the cezve from the heat just as the foam (kaymak) rises, right before it boils. Pour the foam first into the fincan, then the rest of the coffee.

Serving Suggestion

Turkish coffee is traditionally served in a small fincan (60-80 ml), often accompanied by a glass of water to cleanse the palate and a piece of lokum (Turkish delight) to balance the rich flavor.
